We read aloud to our students, often daily, so why not choose SEL books some of the time?! An easy way to integrate SEL into the day!
In the following series of short videos by Wellesley Centers for Women, Peg Sawyer, B.S.Ed., trainer and coach with the Open Circle Program explains how to use children's literature to support SEL, and recommends some books for developing different SEL skills.

I have listed the SEL related books that I read aloud to my class below. There were others, but I took photos of their covers to remember the titles/authors, and unfortunately lost those pictures when my phone crashed. I have included as many as I could, and included links at the bottom to other lists I found online. *Just a note: Many of the books I used I found myself, but many were also found/recommended to me by our school Librarian; she knew that I was looking for SEL related books, and often signed out and brought me ones she recommended I try. Enlisting her help was very useful, tapped into her expertise, and made my life easier!*
